About the Book

Science is the study of nature, the behaviour of natural things and the knowledge we obtain
from them through observations and experiments. In other words, it gives experimental evidence
for various facts about life. Biology is the branch of science that deals with organisms and their
relationship with the environment.
The CBSE syllabus has been revised to help the students understand the basic principles of
biology effectively as per present-day life situations.
This book, strictly based on the latest CBSE syllabus, is a practical guide for the students and the
teachers to help them perform practicals in a systematic way as per the needs of the new syllabus.
Efforts have been made to be on par with the students in the realm of language, understanding
the concepts and providing theoretical knowledge.
