The C.B.S.E., N.C.E.R.T and other boards, governing the school education in different parts of the country, have always been emphasrzing the importance of experimental study by incorporating various experiments in the syllabus of science subjects in schools. This not only helps the growing minds of the children to understand the theory and principles, but also inculcates an aptitude for scientific approach to the study of science subjects. In the formative years of a child, if one develops the habit of understanding the scientific principles by means of practical approach and the habit of taking observations with precision, it helps one to grow and reach greater heights in life.
Core Laboratory Manual Physics for Class XI has been prepared keeping the above aspects in mind. It has been written, strictly in accordance with the latest syllabus prescribed by the C.B.S.E, New Delhi in a simple language easily understandable by students. The various steps involved in conducting the experiment have been arranged in a systematic manner along with properly labelled diagrams, figures and tables. The basic principles and theories, on which the experiments and activities are based, have been thoroughly explained. The book emphasizes more on experimental aspect in comparison to the theoretical aspect of each experiment. Each experiment is followed by a set of viva-voce questions along with their answers. Though such questions may be endless, we have tried to add as many general questions as possible, related to basic theory or concept involved that may be asked at the time of practical examinations.
