Preface

The Illustrative Environmental Studies series comprises five books (Classes 1–5), designed to align seamlessly with the Curricular Goals and Competencies outlined in the latest National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 and in full compliance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Each chapter has been meticulously crafted in accordance with the NCF's Panchpadi framework, ensuring a comprehensive, engaging, and future-ready learning experience.

The concept-based and age-appropriate assessment section is designed around the principles of Panchakoshas and Pramanas, aiming at the holistic development of learners. To enrich the learning experience further, the series integrates 21st-century skills, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
