In English, there are eight parts of speech — Nouns, Verbs, Pronouns, Adjectives, Adverbs,
Prepositions, Conjunctions and Interjections, a knowledge of which will enable a child to form
correct sentences.
This book aims at presenting all the parts of speech in the simplest, clearest and most enjoyable
way with the help of suitable pictures having a close bearing on the daily life and environment of a
child.
The Play Way has much to commend in dealing with Functional Grammar. The exercises have been
made as lively, practical and interesting as possible and they take the shape of intelligence tests.
