It is used to improve the quality of life by helping people maintain a healthy body and mind. Yoga can be practiced in many different styles and can be combined with other forms of exercise to create new workouts that are more effective than traditional ones. Yoga is also popular because it is easy on the joints, which makes it good for older adults who may have arthritis or other joint issues. Hatha (pronounced ha-thah), Iyengar (pronounced ee-en-gar), Restorative (re-strukt), and Vinyasa (pronounced veen-ee-sah) are all types ofyoga. Each type has its own benefits and challenges, but all types help people become more flexible, stronger, healthier, happier and more focused in their day-to-day lives.

The book is divided into two parts :

  • Part A deals with the Employability skills with the units names Communication Skills IV, SelfManagement skills IV, ICT Skills IV, Entrepreneurial Skills IV and Green Skills IV.
  • Part B - Subject Specific Skills, has three units. The first unit is an Introduction to Yoga and Yoga Practices II, which explains the meaning, purpose and significance of Shatkarma, Yoga Asana, Pranayama and Dhyana, and also identifies some career opportunities in yoga. The second unit- Introduction to Yoga Tests-II, tells about the concept of aahara diet and some significance of the Hatha yoga, or mental awareness according to Patanjali yoga, to promote a healthy living style in The Bhagavad Gita, as well as some importance of subjective experience in daily yoga practices. Finally, the third unit discusses Yoga for Health Promotion II discusses Health Promotion through yogic management of stress and its consequences, some yogic prevention of common diseases and some tips to improve and develop personality through yoga.

Sincere attempts have been made to keep the language of the book simple. The concepts have also been explained through postures and asanas. This will allow the students to have a swift reading of the book, making the content of the book easy to understand. We also hope that this book will boost the students' morale and enormously benefit the teachers. Constructive suggestions for the improvement of the book are most welcome.
